COVEY’s Volunteer Spotlights!
Meet Katie
Katie’s year as a COVEY volunteer has been a journey of shared experiences, confidence, and genuine connection. She’s discovered that the simplest moments, like exploring outdoors and sharing laughter, have created the most meaningful memories for both her and her young person.
Meet Jessica
Jessica has spent four years volunteering with COVEY as a group befriender, supporting young people with empathy, patience, and commitment through every stage of their growth. Her experiences, especially during summer outings, have shown her the power of building trust, fostering confidence, and how small acts of kindness can deeply impact both the young people and herself.
Meet Maureen
Meet Maureen, one of COVEY’s longest-serving volunteers, who has spent an incredible 13 years spreading warmth, encouragement, and laughter through her befriending and mentoring roles. From supporting young people and parents to being a cherished part of the Young Adult ANGELS group, Maureen’s journey reflects the true spirit of connection, compassion, and community at COVEY.
Meet Chris
Chris, one of our dedicated COVEY Group Volunteers, has spent the past 18 months bringing laughter, encouragement, and a sense of belonging to young people through COVEY Connect. His journey shows how simple acts of connection can inspire growth, confidence, and purpose, for both the young people and himself.

Meet Jenna

Meet Eilidh
Eilidh started volunteering with COVEY in her fifth year of secondary school, initially as part of her Duke of Edinburgh Award, but her bond with the young people led her to stay for over ten years.
Meet Jemma
Jemma was first drawn to COVEY through her work with the Children's Hearing Services, and has found the experience to be incredibly rewarding. She approaches her role with empathy, helping young people build skills, develop passions, and feel heard.
