What Been Happening at COVEY Recently?

There’s been lots going on across our Projects recently…

Flourishing Families

Young people supported within our Flourishing Families project recently enjoyed trips to Air Thrill and Topgolf! Some of our new members for this school year have been developing their communication and team building skills through activities like Positivity Cups and Biscuit Decorating.

North Lanarkshire Befriending

One of our young people developed his interest in fishing, learning how to prepare the equipment and building techniques to catch his first fish! He described it as “the best day of the year so far!”.

Young Ambassadors

Our Young Ambassadors took part in a film making workshop, developing script writing skills to share their journeys creatively. They also came together for a team building session to welcome our newest Young Ambassador and contributed to a forward planning session, giving them ownership of upcoming opportunities.

Young Adults ANGELS Group

Members of our Young Adult ANGELS group enjoyed Alpaca trekking, where they developed confidence in feeding and grooming the Alpacas!

Airdrie ANGELS Group

The young participants enjoyed a recent trip to M&D’s, where they developed confidence in trying new and exciting things!

COVEY Connect

COVEY Connect visited the Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel, learning about Scottish history and culture. They enjoyed building on their friendships throughout the day! The group have also been growing and harvesting crops, donating bags of potatoes to the local foodbank.
