COVEY in the Community

At COVEY, we’ve been busy attending community events, strengthening partnerships and promoting the positive impact of our work across Lanarkshire and beyond. Here's a look at what we've been up to.

Spring into Summer Community Event

COVEY was delighted to attend the Spring into Summer community event hosted by Healthy Valleys. The event was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the fantastic work taking place across our communities while connecting with local organisations and taking part in a range of activities.

Volunteers' Week with CCI at Langloch Farm

As part of Volunteers' Week, COVEY attended the event organised by CCI at Langloch Farm, held at Lanark Lifestyle Centre. It was fantastic to meet members of the community, speak to potential volunteers and share how volunteering with COVEY can make a real difference.

Staff Wellbeing Session

This quarter, we welcomed Kim from South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture, who delivered an enjoyable and relaxing wellbeing session focused on drawing techniques.

The session gave our team the opportunity to unwind, learn new skills and spend time together as part of our ongoing commitment to staff wellbeing.

Intandem Portfolio Day

COVEY is proud to partner with Intandem to deliver mentoring support for children and young people who are in, or at risk of entering, the care system across South Lanarkshire.

This month, we attended the Intandem Portfolio Day in Perth, where Coordinators and Managers from 12 partner organisations came together to represent mentoring services across 20 local authorities.

The event provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on our work, share learning and exchange best practice with colleagues from across the national network.

Volunteer Recruitment at ASDA Cumbernauld

Our team recently visited ASDA in Cumbernauld to raise awareness of COVEY and promote our volunteering opportunities.

It was great to meet shoppers, answer questions about our services and speak with people interested in supporting local children, young people and families through volunteering.

Meet the Buyer 2026

COVEY attended Meet the Buyer 2026 in Glasgow, organised by the Supplier Development Programme Scotland.

The event gave us the opportunity to learn more about working with the public sector, particularly local councils, and explore how COVEY can continue to deliver high-quality services for children, young people and families through future partnerships.
