STV Children's Appeal Renews Support for COVEY's Flourishing Families Project

COVEY is delighted to announce that STV Children's Appeal has renewed its investment in the charity through its Ignite Fund, providing a further three years of support for the Flourishing Families project.

The renewed funding will enable COVEY to continue delivering its preventative, school-embedded, whole-family approach, supporting children, young people and families across Lanarkshire who are affected by child poverty, trauma and additional support needs.

The Flourishing Families project combines small-group mentoring, one-to-one support and whole-family interventions to help improve school attendance, confidence, wellbeing and family stability. By working closely with schools and families, the project provides tailored support that helps children and young people thrive both at home and in education.

The announcement follows a recent meeting between COVEY Chief Executive, Lee Johnstone, and the Board of STV Children's Appeal, where he had the opportunity to present the impact of the charity's work and outline plans for the future. Discussions focused on strengthening support during the transition from primary to secondary school, re-engaging young people with education through improved attendance, and expanding targeted interventions for families facing complex challenges.

COVEY is also proud to continue as an Ignite Partner, working alongside a network of organisations supported by STV Children's Appeal to tackle child poverty and improve outcomes for children and young people across Scotland.

The renewed partnership reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that children, young people and families have access to the support they need to build brighter, more resilient futures.
