Elizabeth Murphy

As Communications Lead, Elizabeth oversees COVEY’s digital communications, including the organisation’s website, social media channels, newsletters and marketing materials. She also supports the Young Ambassador Project, helping to amplify young people’s voices and celebrate their achievements.

Before joining COVEY, Elizabeth spent five years studying and working in multimedia journalism, gaining experience with Radio Clyde, Insight Radio, The Scottish Funding Council and Flag Media. She then enjoyed a rewarding ten-year career as a primary teacher, where she developed a particular passion for embedding expressive arts across the curriculum and helping children discover the positive impact of creativity on their wellbeing.

Elizabeth’s role at COVEY brings together her expertise in communications with her commitment to supporting young people. She is passionate about using storytelling and digital media to showcase COVEY’s work, connect with communities and highlight the difference the organisation makes in the lives of children and young people.
