Building Brighter Futures
“I used to find it difficult to go up and talk to people, but now I can. I feel a lot calmer because I can trust all the people around me.”
Young Participant
The aim of this 12-month project is to support young people aged 14-17 in South Lanarkshire who are experiencing the care system, whether they’re living at home with parents, in kinship care with family or friends, or on the edge of care.
The project helps these young people to realise their aspirations and achieve their true potential. Participants will develop their confidence and skills to re-engage with school or progress into further/higher education, training, or employment.
Through activities, workshops, training courses, community events, and outreach visits, we will provide opportunities for participants to learn new skills, build confidence, make connections, increase their aspirations, and set personal goals and targets.
